Time-saving ID check improvements are here!

An important step in the Rail Safety Worker (RSW) solution is the requirement for an ID check as workers are registered.

This extra measure increases security and reduces the chances of fraud.

We are pleased to offer our valued users an improved ID check experience in RSW. When you register a new worker, you will be prompted to complete their verification in the portal, providing details of ID sources for the worker as requested.

This improvement is available for all new workers you register.

Please find below information about the transition from managing the RIW program to managing the RSW program in June 2019. For information about the RIW system, please visit riw.net.au.

Please review this PDF for more information about the differences between RIW and RSW.

Are RIW cards still accepted on RSW sites?

Yes, we will recognise all valid RIW cards.

The card will be read by kiosks, tablets, turnstiles and gates. Workers will see no change to their previous experience – they will simply be swiping with another card.

What do I do if I still hold a RIW card?

We has sent stickers with the logo to all existing RIW cardholders to place over the RIW and ARA logos so the card can still be used on the projects.
